Curses! Foiled again!

Today’s exercise plan was a ride on some great singletrack…but it just wasn’t to be.  I had taken my car in for some minor servicing last week and all seemed to be fine until tonight.  I had loaded my bike up and was heading to pick up a friend when my engine temperature light came on.  I pulled over and popped the hood and was greeted by the sight of engine coolant everywhere and a missing radiator cap.  Grrrrr.  My car is now sitting on the side of the road (I was able to bike home) and I’ll be putting a terse, but polite, call into the mechanic tomorrow morning.

To make up for it, my friend met me at my house and we took all our dogs on a hike on the trails behind my house.  We spent about an hour and ahalf hiking up and down hills – the dogs are pooped and I feel like the evening wasn’t a total waste.

Monday: 350m swim & 30 min walk/run session*

Tuesday: 6.5 km bike

Wednesday: 350 m swim / 30 min walk/run session

Thursday: Rest

Friday: 350 m swim / 6.5 km bike

Saturday: 30 min walk/run session

Sunday: 6.5 km bike

*walk/run sessions will be 2 min walk/3 min run this week
